This was my first climbing trip following a lead climber, as well as my first visit the the Shawangunks.  Katie's car served as transporation. We climbed just four pitches in total: tree on Saturday, and one on Sunday morning, as I had to work on Monday. The trip was not without adventure.  As Katie will attest, we accidently went off-route on Rusty Trifle's traverse, and I almost pooped my pants as a 5.5 turned into a 5.8R traverse.  Moral of the story: Rob needs to hit the rock wall.  Lead climbing seems to be one of the most bad-ass things you can do outside, and learning even some of its nuances makes me wonder if I have the nerve. Let's just say we made quota.
